Phaedra | String Leaf Wallpaper

We used sisal rope for the design of Thaos and Phaedra wallpapers, which merge intricate patterns and interplays into a balanced and harmonious whole. The depth in the design was created through use of this natural material. Leaf motifs are formed by simple string-like lines. The Dew colourway features a soft grey and silver base with string effects in a white/silver shade.

Non-woven construction. Made in Belgium. This design has some metallic features.

'Spirit of Nature' represents the search for a renewed connection to nature. The colours and designs in this collection reflect the reconciliation of man with nature. People have been harnessing materials direct from nature for thousands of years. Instead of using pencils and brushes, we fashioned patterns from sisal rope, constructed shapes from marble, and embroidered designs using yarns. This resulted in a number of exquisite patterns with a natural look and feel. Ropes made from natural yarn and the exposed veins of mineral rock are recurring themes in the 'Spirit of Nature' collection.
